Hey there! I’m Chris — a proud U.S. Marine veteran and lifelong dog lover. After serving in the Marines, I settled in Hawaii, where I’ve spent the last 24 years soaking up the island’s natural beauty and exploring the outdoors with my four-legged companions. My military background taught me the importance of discipline, consistency, and resilience — values that have deeply shaped the way I connect with and care for dogs.
Growing up alongside a mix of Labradors and Golden Retrievers, I developed an early respect for structured training and the powerful bond between humans and animals. When I moved to Hawaii in the early 2000s, I welcomed my first Siberian Husky, Scifen. He was more than a pet — he was family. We shared 13 amazing years together until he crossed the rainbow bridge in 2023.
Today, I live in San Francisco with my newest sidekick, Chelsea, and we’re the heart behind Doggie Dates — a mission-driven venture dedicated to helping pups thrive through structure, love, and engagement. Inspired by my time in the service and my passion for animals, I’ve created a nurturing environment where dogs benefit from routine, positive reinforcement, and individualized care.
I also partner with a trusted network of experienced dog trainers to ensure we tailor our approach to each pup’s unique personality and needs. Beyond training, I emphasize the importance of holistic health — from quality nutrition and regular vet visits to plenty of fresh air and playtime.
Whether your dog needs a little extra structure or just a fun new friend, I’m here to help. I look forward to welcoming your pup into the Doggie Dates family and supporting their journey toward a happy, healthy life in the Bay Area.
